Stopping Audio Recordings / Pausing Sessions

Managing Audio Recordings in NovoNote

NovoNote provides flexibility when recording sessions, allowing users to pause and resume recordings or stop them entirely. This guide explains how to manage your recording sessions effectively.

Pausing a Recording Session

If you need to take a break during your recording session, you can pause and resume as needed.

1. Click "Pause Session"

  • While recording, select the "Pause Session" button.

  • This will temporarily stop the recording while keeping the session active.

2. Resume Recording

  • When ready, click "Resume Session" to continue recording.

3. Ensure Continuity

  • Make sure to resume before the session times out to avoid data loss.

Stopping a Recording Session

Once your session is complete, follow these steps to properly end and save your session.

1. Click "End Session"

  • Select "End Session" to finalise the recording.

2. Assign the Session

  • Assign the session to a designated client by selecting an existing profile or creating a new one.

3. Review Notes and Transcripts

  • Check the generated notes or transcripts to confirm they have been processed correctly.

Best Practices for Managing Recordings/Sessions

  • Always pause instead of ending the session if you intend to resume the same session.
  • Regularly review notes and transcripts to ensure no information is missing.
